A speculative campaign for Master & Dynamic, exploring the tension between timelessness and use.

M&D's founder, Jonathan, once found a pair of WWII aviator headphones in a Washington D.C. museum — decades old, still intact, still elegant. That single image became the seed of the brand's whole design philosophy: build something that stands the test of time.

This campaign takes that story literally. Rather than showing the product as a beautiful object to be looked at, every image argues the opposite — headphones worn mid-motion, mid-task, mid-life. No posed lifestyle shots, no wistful gazes into the middle distance. Just people using something, unaware of being watched.

Each poster carries the same quiet signature: a fine halftone texture echoing archival print, a micrographic annotation tracing the idea back to its source — "Inspired by a headset that outlived a war" — and a coordinate pair marking where the story began, New York City, 40.7453° N, 73.9887° W.

Three environments, one idea: a headphone is not a museum piece. It's meant to be lived in.
